Pills and Quills Ltd
I am a proactive and organized freelance medical writer with a strong scientific background committed to delivering high-quality and accurate communications on time and on budget. My experience in medical communications and postdoctoral research has given me a broad view of the drug development process from the laboratory to the healthcare market. My aim is to use my depth and breadth of experience to disseminate knowledge and raise awareness about advances in scientific and medical research.
Medical communications positions – senior account executive
I gained my first experience of working within medical communications as an account executive. As part of this role I worked on a variety of accounts on a number of therapy areas including heart disease, arthritis, psychiatry, continence, erectile dysfunction and other long-term conditions. I greatly enjoyed the challenge of getting to grips with new subjects. In addition to this I worked on several accounts that were not restricted a particular therapy area such as workload management for the NHS and a PR campaign.
Medical communications positions – senior medical writer
I was the lead medical writer and client contact for a major global oncology account giving me an in-depth insight into one drug’s journey from preclinical and Phase I studies through to Phase III clinical trials. As I was a well-established member of the client’s multidisciplinary team, I was able to provide stability to the project during several client team changes. Key elements of the role included: medical writing and editing; project management; client interaction; investigator liaison.
International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP)
I am a member of ISMPP.
European Medical Writers Association (EMWA)
I have been a member of EMWA since 2005 and hold an EMWA Professional Development Certificate (foundation level).
The review was sent to the client last week – she was extremely please with the quality of the review – thanks very much for all your help on it!
You did a brilliant job – thanks so much! When I send a proposal to someone to do it rarely comes back to me with so little to do to make it ready for the client
